We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth and profitability in the assigned region. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing a sales team, and fostering strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on achieving sales targets, promoting crop care products, and ensuring efficient operations within the region.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for the region, with a focus on achieving cash sales targets, promoting crop care products, and advancing collections.
- Conduct market research and track competitor activities to identify new product opportunities and market trends.
- Collaborate with the Zonal Head to provide inputs on crops, cropping patterns, and opportunities for crop care products in the region, contributing to the preparation of budgets.
Sales Team Management:
- Lead and direct the regional sales team, providing guidance, training, and support on sales strategies, policies, and guidelines.
- Drive sales and collection targets through effective implementation of sales policies and clean sales practices.
- Ensure alignment and complete transparency with super league dealers, guiding them on budget versus actual sales, inventory, and liquidation.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers, and stakeholders to strengthen the channel network.
- Identify and shortlist new customer opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Actively engage in farmer meetings and demonstrate a customer-centric approach by attending a minimum of 10 meetings per month.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and review the debtor days to maintain efficient working capital and profitability in the region.
- Manage the regional promotional budget, ensuring effective utilization and liquidation of crop care products.
- Provide timely accounts reconciliation statements and track Field Officers productivity.
Operations and Compliance:
- Liaise with government authorities, such as the Agriculture Office and weight & measure office, to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
- Travel extensively within the region, to oversee activities, supervise field visits, and lead farmer melas.
- Create and implement route maps for yourself and Sales and marketing team for efficient coverage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in the agricultural/Crop care industry.
- Strong knowledge of sales strategies, market dynamics, and competitor analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Sound financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Customer-focused mindset and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
