Roles & Responsibility:
Will be working on costing for Farm Machinery Products and its parts which involves all major commodities like Sheet metal fabrication (60-70%), casting, forging, machining and others.
Preparation of the Business Case and tracking the same with respect to the set targets in the commodities and project handled.
Finalising process for the parts & product to be developed and detail costing at part / product level.
Technical Knowhow of various manufacturing process, its cost drivers & ability to optimize the cost through various alternative & optimized process.
Identify the areas of cost reduction through design iteration & assist design to achieve the cost targets.
Drive VAVE Ideas & implement
Cost benchmarking of the Internal & external parts / Products
Support Product Supply Management & Design team in adhering to the target cost through alternative proposal ideas to optimize the cost.
Knowledge :
Good Knowledge on the sheet metal fabrication & machining process .
Technical & Commercial acumen in the commodities handled.
Wide commodities exposure & good costing knowledge in the Farm machineries sourcing domain.
Deep understanding of cost drivers
Costing norms of small scale / medium scale industry
