Job Description/Roles
Review the data required for die quotes (BOM, CAD, Drawing, GD&T and other documents)
Identify the stamping process required (Progressive/Transfer/Tandem)
Organize the data as per process requirement and administrate quotes with designated tool shops
Review the quotes received from tool shops and consolidate the quote data in the required formats
Prepare rough process plan/method plan
Estimate the blank required for stamping process using FTI (Forming Suite)
Prepare Stamping parts cost estimation (material, press cost etc.) including die/tooling estimation.
Document and organize the costing process in costing system
Respect timelines and keep a track of die quotes and related activities
Coordinate/interact regularly with Process/Die Engineering and Corporate quotation teams
Qualifications/Requirements
Good at data handling and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Good understanding of stamping process (method plan) and dies for Prog, Transfer and Tandem presses
Knowledge of blank development, forming simulations and feasibility issues related with sheet metal parts
Understanding of tool costing, build time and piece price for stamping parts
Knowledge of Presses and Press work
Experience of working in Tool shops and interaction with shop floor
Good CAD skills in CATIA V5 or UG NX and FTI (Forming suite)
Fluent in English speaking. Able to Read/Write English
Proactive problem solving and good communication
