As a CAM Programming Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of CAM programmers in our CAM programming department. You will play a crucial role in driving the efficient delivery of CAM programs, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and adhere to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of CAM programmers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
Program Review and Optimization: Review and check CAM programs prepared by junior staff, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing them to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Project Management: Drive the timely delivery of CAM programs, ensuring they align with project schedules and meet client expectations.
CNC Program Creation: Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machine types (vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis) using MasterCam software.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes through the effective use of CAM programming techniques.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of CAM programming principles, machining processes, and industry best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in CNC programming, with a strong focus on MasterCam.
Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, CATIA V5, or UG NX).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
